Western Values Project Responds To Colorado BLM Director Helen Hankins Retirement

Today, Colorado based industry and government watchdog organization Western Values Project, released the following statement after it was announced Colorado Bureau of Land Management Director Helen Hankins would retire from her post.

“We wish the best for director Hankins and thank her for her years of dedicated public service,” said Western Values Project Director Ross Lane. “Coloradans overwhelmingly believe in a balance between energy development and conservation. As we look ahead, it’s imperative that her successor work to actively seek out innovative and forward thinking solutions. Secretary Jewell should select a new Colorado BLM director who puts the interests and values of small businesses, families, sportsmen, farms and ranches on equal ground with oil and gas development.”
