Deadline Tonight: Sign Petition to Investigate Corrupt Bernhardt

Last month we had a mobile billboard (pictured above) calling out the rampant corruption of President Donald Trump and Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

While we had a little fun with the design, the message couldn’t be more serious: Bernhardt is abusing his position to promote the interests of his past clients — specifically, the Independent Petroleum Association of America, which represents the likes of Shell Oil Company, Noble Energy, ConocoPhillips, Chesapeake Energy, QEP Resources, and Marathon Oil among others.

We’ve partnered with other organizations to file a joint petition calling on Congress to immediately investigate Secretary Bernhardt’s ongoing relationship with his past clients as well as the IPAA itself. We already have more than 100,000 signatures but the deadline to sign is TONIGHT, and we still need more signatures!

Will you sign the petition to join our fight to protect America’s outdoor heritage and hold Secretary Bernhardt accountable?

It is Secretary Bernhardt’s obligation to protect America’s shared public lands and natural resources now and for future generations. But former mega-lobbyist David Bernhardt has violated our trust by letting his former clients exploit our public lands, treating the Interior Department as his own personal lobbying shop.

We will not stand by and let it happen. Please join our fight by signing this important petition before tonight’s deadline.
