The Trump administration is pushing for an all-out bailout for oil and gas corporations and billionaire oil tycoons that will cost American taxpayers a hefty price.
They seem to have forgotten that right now we are in the middle of a global pandemic.
This is completely unacceptable.
Trump’s unchecked energy dominance agenda assisted in the overabundance of oil that is now part of the dramatic price drop after the emergence of COVID-19, which has had some dire implications for our economy. But now the administration is seeking to help the oil industry instead of focusing on the public’s health and well-being.
In the face of the rapidly expanding threat of COVID-19, along with the uncertainty and fear it is generating, a bailout for the oil and gas industry is the very last thing we need.
We need to push back.
Our government is supposed to work for us, not Big Oil. And right now, we need them to focus on the public’s immediate needs arising from the COVID-19, not on corporate bailouts!
