New recommendations from the Trump administration on mineral mining could set the stage for industrial-scale uranium mining in the Grand Canyon withdrawal area. We simply cannot let mining companies contaminate one of America’s most beautiful national parks.
President Trump appointed two former lobbyists to cabinet positions, both who previously lobbied for and represented uranium companies. Now those SAME COMPANIES stand to gain OBSCENE PROFITS if they’re handed a free pass to mine our public lands. The Grand Canyon is a national treasure and, because the Trump administration and Bernhardt aren’t going to, it’s up to us to protect it from greedy special interests who would rather line their pockets than protect its natural beauty.
