New ad: Secretary Zinke’s sham review puts public lands at risk

Comes after poll shows Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s popularity falling in home state of Montana

The Western Values Project (WVP) released a new ad calling Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s review of national monuments a sham and his recommendations to the President a threat to public lands. The ad will run throughout Montana and is the second in a six-figure television and digital advertising campaign in Secretary Zinke’s home state.

Zinke's sham review

Last week, WVP released a poll showing Zinke with a -10 job approval rating, down 7 percent since July.

“Secretary Zinke’s review of national monuments has been a sham from day one. Now his recommendations, which have been shrouded in secrecy, are putting our public lands and way of life at risk,” said Chris Saeger, Executive Director of the Western Values Project. “Secretary Zinke is paying the price for selling out and doing the bidding of D.C. lobbyists and special interests. The more Montanans learn of this reckless proposal, the more people realize that Zinke has forgotten the West.”
