Today, following breaking news that the scandal-plagued Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke was fired by President Trump, Western Values Project Executive Director Chris Saeger issued the following statement:

“Ryan Zinke’s tenure at the Department of Interior was a disaster for public lands of historic proportions. The public and Congress should continue their commitment to vigilant oversight over the ongoing ethical abuses at Interior in order to repair its reputation.”

Western Values Project called on Zinke to resign following reports that the Department of Justice is investigating him for potential criminal activity.
